HOW TO BUILD A CUSTOMIZED SERVER

PLUS: CASE STUDY OF A CLOUD PLATFORM

Due to the increase in data from Industry 4.0 and automation in manufacturing, there is rapid growth in demand for servers on the factory floor. Existing servers in various fields commonly have some problems addressing this need. First, there is often a restrictive set-up cost associated with complicated hardware configurations (typically two units of DB servers, two units of application servers, and a storage server are required). Another problem is the lack of simple scalability. Furthermore, adding a secure means of data backup racks up additional unwanted costs.

The Webinar will introduce the optimal way to build server infrastructure. First, we will discuss how you can maximize computing power and efficiency with minimal hardware and parallel processing technology. Next, we will show how a server can be used for various applications, which the case study of a cloud platform will demonstrate. Through this discussion, you will learn how to overcome limitations of ready-made servers, and how to succeed in developing new applications with customized server hardware. We will wrap up by answering any questions you may have.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to design customized server hardware by following your requirements: from motherboard to system
  • How to work out various applications at the customized server: case study of a cloud platform
